The year 2011 is a year I would rather forget. Being diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, breaking a bone in my foot, and ending up with depression doesn’t leave one in too good of shape. Fortunately, I have some wonderful doctors who got me back on the right track. As of now, I am just on a maintenance chemo program every 12 weeks and am feeling pretty good.

Many thanks to the many customers that called to check on me or sent an e-mail or get well card. I appreciate your concern and all the support they you provided. It does make a difference in dealing with such health issues.

The shop is running in a normal fashion and I am taking orders and answering questions. I have plenty of deer hair on hand and hope to get a few more hides cleaned this fall that I was unable to do last fall because my energy level just wasn’t there. The whitetail must be looking over their shoulder!

Although I removed the website catalog to help lower my workload the level of merchandise in stock has not been reduced at all. In fact, I have added a number of new products and continue to check out new material as it becomes available. If there is a material you have seen and would like to try please give me a call and I’ll see if I can obtain it for your. I have added a New Products list to the website and will update that list periodically.

Whiting saddle hackle is just about back up to normal level for most colors as the hair “craze” has quickly faded into the sunset. Hopefully we won’t have to deal with any such “fad” again.

The normal hours for the shop are 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, and closed on Sunday. If you are in the area and would like to stop and visit the shop, please call a day or two before your arrival and I will make every effort to be available. Unless I am on a fishing trip, I am usually in the shop.

You may FAX in your order (419-843-2106), or call in the order on the same number. You may also e-mail me your phone number and I will call on my nickel to take your order.

Shipping and handling charges haven’t changed to any great extent, except that some packages going to the west coast may be a few dollars more.
