Whitetail Fly Tieing is owned and operated by Chris Helm. It was born of the necessity for Chris to have materials available for his many fly tieing classes. With 30+ years experience in tying and his extensive knowledge of fly tieing materials, Chris is known throughout the USA and Europe for his expertise in all aspects of tying. Chris is famous for his masterful use of deer hair. Chris has lectured and taught at about every major fly tying event. His love for teaching and helping others to master the art of tying makes Chris the ultimate reference for all types of tying technique and materials questions.
Chris has decided to close the mail order business to new customers effective September 30, 2011 because of health reasons and the need to reduce his work hours during the peak winter fly tying season. Established customers can continue to order by calling (419) 843-2106. He will maintain the shop for local customers and those traveling through the area that wish to stop and shop.
Be sure to call him in advance of your visit to make sure he will be in the shop.
